Jeanette Byron-Brewster was born in the beautiful Caribbean Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, she is the daughter of Percival and Ermine Riley. From her early years in school she became interested in Early Childhood

Education. This encouraged her to pursue an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education at Wheelock College. She later attended Eastern Nazarene College and gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree. After graduating, Jeanette worked at Rockwood Daycare Center for three years which helped to set the foundation for her years of dedication to Early Childhood Development. 

 

With years of working with children, parents, teachers and her passion to make an indelible mark in the field of early childhood development, Jeanette was encouraged to take the initiative to open Learn & Play Center. This journey as an Educator and Entrepreneur began in 1996 and it has been an incredible journey to present. Throughout the years she has been an Educator for more than 1,000 children, an Administrator, Trainer and most of all a devoted Caregiver. 

 

As an Educator, Jeanette has found that communication is an important part of daily functioning of the center, thus she uses her communication skills to enhance her leadership role. Throughout the 30 years of dedication and service to early childhood development, her most rewarding experience is to see children grow and excel in their future endeavors. Jeanette is honored to be able to serve and impact the lives of our future leaders.
